WHAT WE DO:

Smith Lighting acts as a manufacturer's rep for approximately 85 lighting fixture manufacturers. The area that we typically operate within for these companies is central and western Oklahoma.

The clients that we are here to serve typically include:

*Architects
*Electrical Engineers
*Interior Designers
*Electrical Contractors
*Electrical Distributors
*End-Users
*Municipalities

Once an Architect or Engineer selects a product from one of our manufacturers, our quotations people will provide product information and pricing to the Electrical Distributor and when that product is to be ordered, our order entry people process the order and handle verification, shipments and tracking. We also provide lighting calculations to specifiers so that proper considerations can be made in regards to lighting selections versus light levels in a given environment.

It is our job to keep specifiers informed about current and upcoming products in all areas of commercial lighting. In addition, we strive to educate ourselves constantly so that we may be a resource of information for specifiers and all the clients that rely on us. We distribute literature, show samples and arrange for factory people to visit and share their knowledge with specifiers as well.

In addition to calling on the specifier community, we occasionally hold classes in our facilities for the various Colleges and Universities in our state so that we may share basic principles of good lighting with the next generation of lighting specifiers in our community.
